What Pads Would You Recommend?

Hi all,

Wanting to start properly polishing my car so recently ordered a DA polisher, DAS6 850w.

However unsure what pads to get for it. My polishes/waxes are ultimate compound, ultimate polish, and ultimate quick wax all from meguiars if that helps.

Would prefer to stick to these polishes for now as they have a fair bit left in them.

Any advice would be useful

Hi mate,
Unsure about the megs products you have as to what pads to advise.
Going by megs 105 and 205 polish, the first being more aggressive and the later for refining.
Hex logic pads are really good and popular.
Orange pad for heavy cutting (105) and white for light cut/refining for the (205) should give you great results.
I don't know which of the ultimate compound or ultimate polish is the more aggressive but I'm sure it will say on the bottles.
Try the least aggressive polish you have on a white pad for a few passes and see how it goes.
If it isn't correcting try the more aggressive polish.
You can use the quick wax for priming the pad.
Remember and work the polish until it breaks down tho.
It's all trial and error
