Hi all,

I am currently running on Dunlop Sp 9000 and am about to replace my front tyres. I think I am going to replace with either Toyos or F1s, but my question is can I have two different tyres on the front and keep the 2 Dunnies on the back. The two back tyres have a lot of wear left.....but I am desperate to replace the Dunlops as I havent been that impressed.

Really 10k miles....it may well be now!

Thanks guys

I've got F1's on the front and Pilot Sports on the rear. All seems good and well.

As long as tyres are replaced in pairs you are fine, you can even get away with 2 different brands on the back (non-quattro) as on FWD cars the majority of grip & braking is handled by the fronts. |You will notice a huge improvement getting rid of the Dunlops, they are possibly the worst tyre I have ever experienced. Could wheelspin them in 3rd on my old GTi in the dry. The F1's are pretty unbeatable as the perfect compromise between price (around £70 fitted for 16's, £110 for 18's), performance and wear, and they look cool to boot (no pun intended).
