Help Please

ok i posted early about revs/idle all over the place .its been suggested to do the 249 mod ,but before i do this can anyone shed light onto the problem ,when i take the pipe off the top of the dv revs/idle returns to normal ,come on all you tech guys i would welcome all your replies thanks kev a3 1.8t sport aum 2001

When you rev your car does the dv make a flutter or a straight tish sound?

hi thanks for your reply. it makes a tish sound . when i turn it on from cold it idles ok when the auto choke cuts out it still idles ok ,but if i rev it the revs go all over the place and it feels like it will cut out .hope this helps thanks kev

Dv sounds fine then I think. Check for boost and air leaks first snd check vagcom for any fault codes

Is it not misfiring under revs?

i have already changed the dv ,there is a slight misfire

Take it to a garage for a fault scan or if u have a friend with vcds get them to scan it first that's where to start
