double din chassis mounting

just wondered if anyone has managed to fit a later model audi concert double din radio into an 8l dash ???

Basically, yes... There are a few how to's on dotted about the forum if you have a search.

You basically need a double din cage, which is an OE part and I believe it is still available from TPS. And you will also need different heater controls.

I'm sure I've got some more info and part numbers saved somewhere, I'll try dig em out for you this evening... Is it for a face-life or pre face-lift interior?

not sure on the interior.. its a 52 plate quattro so prob pre facelift, 8l ??

Yours is a post lift then. Pre is only upto early 2000s.

No, a 8p cage will not even nearly fit...

Part number for the 8l double din cage is 8L0-858-005A

Well I just spoke to TPS and they wanted 200 (and something) quid plus vat for one! . .

Best to keep a look out second hand bud, I've seen em go for 70ish quid
