The taboo question..!

Hi guys,

Sorry to ask the unpopular question but I'm at work and can't really scrawl through all the old posts!

I have an 2007 A3 1.6 and I wondered if anyone can tell me what rim size it would hve on, they are 16" OEM 9 spoke wheels (the boring ones!)

Reason I ask is I've seen some 16x6 ET53 rims which I wouldn't mind but trying to figure out if they're the correct size and what if any consequences there would be to fitting them?

Don't swap 16's for another set of 16's, they're waaaaay too small on A3's.

Agreed to be honest, but it's a cheap n easy swap of the horrid basics it has for some 5 spoke and doesn't require me to buy 4 new 17/18" tyres haha

I have the 1.6 tdi 2009 and had the 16" standard changed them for 19" and no problems

Cheers; will defo use that but m problem is I don't know what the standard width and offset is, which is what I wanted to know to see how much difference there is

Standard 16's are 6J 50mm offset per handbook of my A3
