Hi all,
I have a 2001 1.9 TDI 110bhp and the instrument cluster has messed up. Please can I ask is there any way or getting these repaired or is the only option sending off to Audi for a replacement?

Thank you all - Buel

You can et them fixed, ours was never quite right though but just display issues nothing serious. If you get it fixed you don't need it coded in to the car but a new one, it needs coded, usually and Audi job.

Hi,
Well to my untrained eye it seems it. Symptoms are:
  • Beeping every few minutes
  • Flickering constantly
  • Speedo and odometer not working
  • Fuel and temp gauge not working
Here is a scan of what my local garage found, hope this helps:

OK, that sounds broke, I think you need to check the earths around the car first personally, it could be anything! It is actually possible to do a cluster test with vagcom I think?

You should also check the big plug at the back of the cluster isn't loose, it doesn't happen often but it's an easy fix if that's what it is.

Thank you all, I will get on that this weekend!!

Sent to Cluster Repair on Monday...still waiting....!
When my mechanic mate took the cluster out he said that the sticker on it belonged to.....Cluster Repair UK (before I had it, probably 18 months ago). Unfortunately, when I asked them if it was under warranty they said that 'The seal is broken so any warranty is void'! Damn.
