Guys I was getting a judder and squeal on full lock when slowly manoeuvring, now it has developed into a judder when driving and turning, and the sqeal is there when I accelerate or turn when driving.

It's quite hard to diagnose as it does not do it at a complete standstill, so I would have to be lying on the bonnet with someone driving at 20 mph, probably not a good idea.

Has anyone had this? I cannot find anything anywhere about this exact thing, I even asked a local vw specialist and he cannot tell me anything due to it only being parked up when he took a look.

Thanks

Had this on my A4 and im almost 100% its the alternator overunning pulley (oap) had that replaced and sweet as a nut again now.

Hope this helps.

Nice one, il look into it. I just realised its 110% worse when the air on is on?

Had the similar thing on my s40. The springs loose the tension over time so it basically bounding with the belt would change it
