permanently switch on hold assist

Mine on my b8 a4 needs switching on everytime I jump in and start the engine.

It stays as you left it on the A3/S3

On a B8 A4, unless you can VCDS it, then you'll have to remember to switch it on each time I'm afraid

But as we've established, the A3 saves the setting so isn't required. Also because of that, noone here is likely to know how to do it...

I had a B8 S4 and went through VCDS several times looking for a way to make the hold assist remember it's settings... with no luck. So I would suggest the modules are totally different.

I have raised a VCDS support question, but really need to auto scan my car i don't have an account or a cable with Ross tech.

When i get access to the cable i will try get them to open a support ticket. Hopefully VCDS and the guys at ross tech can make something available in terms of coding.

For the record i did have an A3, now i own and drive a A4 B8, As its a late 2008 is one of the ones the roll out of the production line in the early days.
