Hi guys, this might be plain stupid but I thought I may as well ask, has anyone ever tried cutting out the middle part of the front end bumper on a 2004 a3 and taking out the other grills and replacing it with a newer all in one grill? With the new bonnet, and obviously abit of DIY but do you think it could work? Or is it just stupid. I've tried to outline which bit I mean in red. And remove rest highlighted in white. Thanks jack , please tell me if I'm just an idiot haha

iv don't it to a b7 and changed it to the rs6

it can be done with a bit of time and patience

but looking at what you want to do from the picture then I wouldn't id just change bonnet and bumper for big grill bumper,

Okay mate thank you, I've been looking and it looks like it could be simple instead of buying the new bumper , fog lights , wiring Etc, but proabably easier just buying a new bumper.

Front end conversions are getting cheaper. Its too much effort for poor results.I would go with buying the front end separate.I will work out cheaper.I have done a few of these conversions.
