Fitting a cone filter to an AGU.

What's cooking people,

The name is Gio. Have been scrolling through the various thread... Impressed at what can be done to these 20v's. So my Question is, ive noticed a couple of AGU's with cone filters fitted, what do you do with the Ignition Amplifier that sits on the filterbox? Im thinking of adding the S2000 filter. When I unplug it the Ign Amp the engine wont run.

Just unbolt the ignition amplifier and cable tie it to something.

You just need a silicon adapter between the stock Maf and larger s2000 filter

Thanx @antwan will defs try that... But doesn't the ignition amp work with the airflow in the box?

No mate... its for the ignition not the airflow... you are thinking of the MAF...

Ignition amp is required so the coil packs will work... later cars with the newer coil packs have ignition amps built in so no need for the separate module...

LOL...Noob mistakes...hehehe.. Thought because it was fit on airbox, the airflow might affect it somehow... My bad.... See everyday you learn something new...
