While in a little known corner of one the less well known Audi websites and yes they have a few ( I can see another post coming) I came across a button called Apps. Now I have seen a few and know that one or two non offical Audi apps are out there but I hadn't ever bothered to look on the Itunes store to see how many they have on there.
Now there are Android versions of some of these but not all. The latest app that has been added to the list is very cool it's called eKurzinfo. Rather than having your car's manual on paper they have been creating an AR version. AR stands for Augmented Reality and lets you use your phone or pad to see information on how something works via your screen. To see how this works Audi have done a nice little video in it.
AR is one of those technologies that has been looking for an application that really works for it. This might just be the right fit for it.
