I have an Audi a3 2.0tdi with auto/paddle shift box
Drove it about today no problems, jumped it in after doing about 30 miles and the PRNDS light is flashing on the dash and ill only drive in 1st. also the engine management light is on.
got to my garage and after leaving it for 2 mins all was fine.... took it around the block and the same happened.
My mate said it could be the battery so i had a new one ready to go on..... all seamed good after a short drive then on the way home it happened again.
My mate came over with a non VAG machine and it came up saying TRANSMISSION SOLENOID POWER REPAY MALFUNCTION P1746.I have searched looking for a fix and everyone says to check the harness routes into the transmission but this never seems to be the problem and cant find anyones fix.Can anyone help thanks
