soft brakes and abs light on ??

as above guys getting my s3 ready to hit the road , by the looks of things the discs and pads are near enough new, the abs light is on and when i press the brakes they are very soft and dont stop till there nearly on the floor
The cars been sittin off the road for roughly a year ,so could this just need the fluids changed

You are supposed to change the fluid every two years anyway so I would do that regardless...

Scan for fault codes... it will then tell you why the ABS light is on...

After a few times heavy braking the abs light has cleared pedal still soft tho so there getting stripped tomorrow

Just scan the car and then bleed the brakes. The rest should all be fine.
