howdy, I have a 55 plate 3.0 tdi Quattro (204) manual it's done 142000 miles and the clutch slips when I give it the beans, I have no idea how long this clutch has been in the car, I want the car remapping but more power will just make this worse so I was wondering if anyone can recommend an uprated clutch kit such as S4 clutch for example or best to stick to original parts and also would it be wise to change the fly wheel too?

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't be suprised if the stock clutch you have is used in an S4 already, or something very similar to it.
How much more torque are looking for ?. The best you can go for thats going to be anywhere near stock feel is this kit, I am not saying buy it from Darkside but have a look around and you should be able to get it cheaper.

Whatever you do it would definitely be wise to replace the flywheel as it's well past it's best with 142K on it.

On the B8 LUK came up with a dual plate clutch system for the 3.0 TDI as the single plate 240mm clutches just wouldn't take the torque. They don't do an uprated version of this but the standard one is supposed to be good for 800Nm. Mine seems OK at 720Nm. I think quite a reasonable price for what it is.You can get them cheaper than Darkside.

Unfortunately no, the layout of the transmission is completely different.
If you look at page 30 onwards in this SSP it describes the different transmission layout on the B8 platform.
The double clutch is only used in the 3.0 TDI.

You can see why the DMF looks strange compared to a normal one as the drive shaft passes through the clutch module. This allows a longer wheelbase and better weight distribution.

Thanks for the help Karl it's much appreciated, I'm not sure how much power to put through it as I'm still on the original turbo so don't want that to implode
