Phoned TPS Birmingham earlier and they have stated that my car does not have a 219 relay? The guy stated that it may be the 614 relay which i need and this provides power to the fuel pump? I'm confused...

Have you looked in the ecu box under the bonnet ?. Open it up and undo the clip that secures the ECU, There are relays located under there.
What engine code is your car and when was it built month/year ?.

Its the Audi A4 Cab 2004 - 2.5TDI V6 auto... B6 model
Will check under the ECU at some point today.
Still haven' had a chance to look under the ECU but changed the brake light switch and then the car was driving perfect for a few days without any cut outs or flashing prnds until today. Decided to lock the car to reset the immobiliser and then noticed that after about a minute the hazards come on automatically and there is a loud crackling sound coming from behind the drivers seat near the fuel tank...never heard this noise before and don't know what it can be.
