Hi all I have a unusal issue with the yellow power steering led light comming on when the car 10 plate A3. 2.0 tdi is stood for more than a couple of days. even with the ign off and the key out. then when i start the car and run it for about 5 mins the light goes very dull (can only see it at night). there are no steering issues with the light dull or bright. vag com shows no faults.

How bright is the led?
There was a batch of clusters it seems that had an issue of faint lit yellow steering led, if its the same issue that is, only way to resolve was to replace the cluster, given the age of the car I would tackle audi for goodwill as it has been known for others & I've had my guys change a few for customers due to this fault.

In daylight you wouldnt know it was on. only when its dark you can see it. very dim. but comes on full bright when the car has been stood for a couple of days. it stays on even with the ign off and key removed 24-7. head scratching.
