as the title says, extra ~£15 per tyre for 235. I like the idea of that extra width, but is it worth it. I know 225 will be fine, but it's sort of the limit for an 8j wheel.

Performance mate yeah 235, for me personally 8.5j 205/45 and 10j 225/45

I run 235/35/19's, but it's only 10 mm, so not that much differance really, they just look slightly more square shouldered.

Go for it Karl!

I've used a few sets if 235/45/17's on mine and much prefer them to the 225'sn

Are the RSTT's 8J? Always wanted to try 235's on them

This is from the Kouki site which is very good:

Tyre Width Equivalency Table
You may also find the following table of recommended tyre widths for given rim widths useful when changing your tyre width.

Rim width
Min tyre width
Ideal tyre width
Max tyre width

8.0 inches
215 mm
225 ou 235 mm
245 mm

so - you're choice you will be OK with either on rim ?

I've got 225 on 8.5j rim all round. As soon as I need to change all four at the same time I'm going with 235.

I was going to go 235 for the extra grip but went for the NS-2r's instead at 225.... the 235's are obviously slightly taller in the walls

The TT Quattro sport came with 235/40/18 as std on staggered 8j/8.5j wheels
