Hi everyone,

I've hit a bit of a brick wall with this one:

I am using an ipod in my car. It is attached 3.5mm to 3.5mm (ipod to cars Aux input).

Everything is fine when the ipod is connected and running off its own battery. The problem occurs as soon as i attach a charger (from cig plug).

I then get lots of interference.

So far I have tried different cables, Mp3 players and chargers - nothing makes a difference.

I have tried the equipment in other cars and they are also fine - so its definitely pointing to a fault with my car.

All other aspects of the stereo (SD card, CD, Radio) are free from interference, so theres something going on with the interaction between the charging and the stereo.

Any ideas - its driving me mad !!

Thanks Mark

Looks like that inside, is just a magnet pretty much :)

Do you have LED lights? The brightness is controlled by PWM (pulse width modulation). This pulsing can cause interference in some electronic devices. Its possible your charger is picking up the interference. You could try a different charger?
