Hey Guys,

This is my first post to the forum.

I have an Audi A3 2.0tfsi and its due a service next week, Spoke to Audi who have the last service at 58k which was a "major" service back in 2012 but my service book has one at 65K which was a interim one.

This is where it gets good. This is the first service I have had with Audi so I want a full service, spark plugs, air filter, brake fluid etc. which is £309 but they are telling me this wont need doing as it had one at 58k back in 2012.

So they are still going to charge me £309 for basically an oil change and a test drive, I am not pleased to say the least. Also looking through the full dealer history it has not had the brake fluid changed since 2008 which is outstanding. All the more reason for me not to take it to the dealer as they clearly have no idea.

Luckily I live near Dialynx who will do a full service and change all the filters and fluids for £270, I just cant believe they were going to charge me £160 more for basically a test drive.

Audi will also charge you £59 more to change the brake fluid as it's not part of the major or interim service. The parts like spark plugs and air filters are changed by Audi depending on your cars mileage at the time not time between services.

The car is now on 72k I just dont understand why they would still bill me for a major service when all I am actually getting is an oil change.

By the way can see on your signature, how are you finding the Superchip remap?

That's dealers for you mate! Just find a decent local specialist and use them instead. :)

Just an update on this, spoke to Dailynx who quoted £250 for the spark plugs, all the filters, oil and brake fluid as well as the usual inspection.
Saved myself £70 and I will get everything changed
