Maybe some of you can make some sense of it. Car is 1.8 92kw AGN (non-turbo, but these faults should be fairly generic)

7 Faults Found:
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
01249 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
01250 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2 (N31)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
01251 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3 (N32)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
01252 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4 (N33)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
01247 - Activated Charcoal Filter (EVAP) System Solenoid Valve 1 (N80)
29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
17935 - Camshaft Timing Adj. Bank1 (N205): Short to Ground
P1527 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

I presume they all came from the morning when I tried to start the engine and it started fine for a second but then cut out. After that it wouldn't start, I would hear the starter running and everything seemed fine but it just wouldn't fire. After trying for about 5 times, it finally started and has ran and started fine ever since. I figure the first fault is from cranking the car for a while to start so the battery voltage eventually dropped. The others however seem misterious to me.

After some googling I was thinking maybe the fuel pump relay is to blame. It started due to having some fuel left in the lines, but cut out straight away due to the pump not starting? Kind of makes sense and I guess explains the fuel injector faults.

However what about the Camshaft timing fault and EVAP valve fault? Can they be caused due to the faulty fuel pump relay also?

I cleared the faults and started the engine, revved it a couple of times and none of those came back. I've had the fuel injector faults once before however after clearing they never came back until now, so I didn't pay no mind. Should I def go and get a new fuel pump relay?

All ideas much appreciated!

All wiring dude... check the wiring loom for a break... probably a bad earth... check under the battery tray too

Argh hate everything that is to do with wiring or electrical stuff .:keule: However I guess I'll have a peek.

Cheers for the idea tuffty!

Short to ground sounds more like water ingress somewhere. I seem to recall this can happen at the ECU side

Cheers guys! Will have the scuttle panel off once the weather gets more stable.

Had a look and the grounding under the battery seemed fine practically no corrosion there. ECU loom seemed to also be fine, so I'm going to put this fault on the backburner for now and check the faults regularly to see if any of them return. If that happens I'll do some more investigating.

Apparently as usual when you start searching for causes of one problem, you discover another. While having a closer look under the hood I spotted a oil leak from the cam cover (gasket) and after checking the oil level there seems to have been a decrease 300-500 ml. Probably that's where it went. I remember replacing the gasket just 8 months ago grrrreat. I guess it's time to let the specialists handle it this time.

Hate discovering problems, why can't I just one day discover that my engine has suddenly been turbo'd or transformed into AGU or something. :p
