Hi guys,
I have been trying to find a suitable answer for days now about the following issue:
When I turn the ignition on and select reverse, my camera feed is great. However, when I turn the engine on, it says "no video signal".
Current setup of the camera is +12V from reversing light, ground from boot bolt. Tested with multimeter, when ignition is on and reverse selected, I get 11.9V. When I turn on the car, the voltage goes to 13.6V and camera won't work.
So my best guess is that either the camera doesn't like the higher voltage or it has something to do with the CAN BUS. What would be the easiest way for me to solve this? Get +12V from rear wiper perhaps?
