A3 struggles to go into 1st and reverse

Hi people

Noticed today (only today) that my car struggles to go into 1st and reverse. When it goes into 1st sometime also hard to pull out of 1st. I notice when it struggles to come out of first when the clutch is pushed in ready to change gear the revs are higher (different) to normal.

Any ideas?

Do you find the clutch going into gear almost as soon as you lift your foot of your clutch (when the clutch is fully floored)? Any other troubles in other gears? I've had a similar issue just like this, and I was told it's quite possibly where the clutch hasn't been bled correctly, where there might be air in the (or loss of fluid) in the system. Or another garage told me it could be the Master/slave Cylinder. I haven't had mine properly fixed yet as I've used my money else where, but when I do i'll be sure to post.

Hi ya

I noticed today when i have trouble with my first gear when the foot it pressed flat to the floor the car is pulling forward so the clutch is biting right to the floor. Sounds like your issue.
