I have a 2014 S3 Sportback 8V and bought an OEM R8-style oil cap cover from German.

http://www.bks-tuning.com/oem-audi-vw-matt-aluminum-oil-cover-caps.html

But when I went to replace my stock one, it was too big, despite being told it was the correct one for my car. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't this fit?

Anyone know of any OEM aluminum-look oil caps for an S3 8V.

Cheers, Lex

Agree save your money.

I have a rule, if it doesn't make it faster or handle better it's not worth it.

I actually think non-factory spoils the car too. I would also be worried about something like an oil cap, not knowing if it changes pressure etc, etc. unlikely I'm sure, but non the less.......

You asked and we will answer no matter if we would buy it or not.

I think that the new EA888 ver3 engine have a smaller oil cap. Actually it is too small imo for filling without spilling so have a new way to do it.

Anyway, i think it will take some time until you find one that fits.

Many thanks for the info. And I actually I do agree to a certain degree, stock does look better, but seeing as I was after an OEM Audi part, I thought it might look cool. :)
