ESP light won't go off/vag com

Hi all,

I was driving back from uni today and esp light came on and won't go off. This has happened before but when I turned the car off the light went off, now it just stays on regardless. I have done some research and found some things it could be, but I think I need to have a look on vag com. Does anyone have any advice or live locally to Leicester that could help me out and have a look on vag come for me please?

A scan with VCDS will be definitive but as you probably already know it could be any one of the sensors ESP uses....

Check out the VCDS map in the VCDS section for members that may be able to help

Yeah there's a couple (longitudinal and lateral sensors) in or around the glovebox. My bet is one of those needs replacing. I think these days it's a MOT failure too so something to bear in mind if yours is due to expire soon

Thanks <tuffty/> I have messaged a few people on there now, never knew about that before so cheers! And s3mad_dude, yeah those are the 2 I read about, and after a bit of a search they can be quite expensive, but luckily my MOT isn't for a while.
