Guys

My first automatic/DSG/stronic whatever you want to call it but when at low speed, particularly on downshift there is a click noise which I can only describe really like a clacker sound like from when you put the plastic strips on bicycle spokes as a kid.

Anyone else experience this?

I don't have the S4, but I do have the S-Tronic box, certainly no noise like that!! Personally thats a back to Audi job (assuming you're in warranty of course!)

It wouldn't be a sharpe sound, it's quite soft but evident anyway when windows are down. Car drives perfectly otherwise and probably the majority wouldn't notice it but I'm an engineer and I hear everything lol

How does it do it? I have noticed the occasional dull thump as the car decides to select 1st just at the point before stopping in mine but dealers say it's normal.

We can relax lol had it on the ramp last night and sounds like it's coming from one of the two cats, maybe internal deterioration? I'll keep an eye on it.

Anyone removed the cats on their S4?
