exhaust gas temp sender

Eml light coming on done a scan and it comes up with fault code 9852 rod file unknown have been told there is three egt senders but how can I tell which one is causing the fault and what are they like to do cheers

I have ver 11.11.3 was told newer versions are sae just add newer cars
