Default fan speed

I recently picked up my car and want to know how to adjust the default fan speed when I first switch on? Is currently at 11 and I cannot work or how to do this. Any help would be welcome.

Doesn't it just go on whatever it was previously on the last time the car was driven?
Except for if the climatic control is set to auto then it will set itself to whatever it wants?

That's how my b8 works anyway

Leave AUTO disengaged, it will always remember what you last set it at. AUTO will disengage itself if you manually adjust the fan or the air distribution.
