Does anybody know the difference between the 2 forge intercoolers for the s3's? why can't the front mounted twintercooler fit on a face lift s3 ? Surely this would be better ? Cheers

Twintercooler doesn't fit without modification on a facelift. (crash bar)

9/10 people want a 'bolt on' option.

Hence Forge produced one that involved no trickery.

Twintercooler has a small surface area but more 'air opportunity' if you like.

However the sandwiched larger intercooler has a much bigger surface area and easily makes up for the air deficit and more id have thought.

Works very well.

Much difference in the crash bars between the 2 ?

From memory I think it was a slight cut in the crash bar which allowed the cooler to be raised slightly.

Probably bumper clearance issues.

I'd go larger one, tends to be the better way to go.

Sorted ! :) I have both just deciding which one to send back :)

i had it on my car. and now it's off. there are pics of it mounted on my car. single cooler and single set of hoses should do the job much better,
