A few weeks ago my front drivers so de brake got stuck on while on the motorway causing the disc to overheat and the car to develop a big vibration at over 60mph. Took it to the garage and they said that the previous owner must have changed just the pads, as there is a big grove on the discs that the pad got caught in. They did a temporary fix and filed down the grove and that has worked for a while. Anyway the vibration keeps coming back sporadically so I have ordered new discs and pads, which should arrive this week.
Now the strange part, when I jack the car up I can turn the wheel forward and it only catches in one place (probably a warped disc), but when I turn it backwards it turns for a while and the gets totally stuck. Is this normal? If not anyone have any ideas if this will just be the brakes or could this be another issue?
I'm hoping the new brakes will fix it, but don't want to wreck another set of brakes.
