VCDS Security Code

Hi All.
Just wondering
a) why it's so hard to get/find the Security Code for Engine 01, Adaptations 10
b) where is the best place to find it? which manual? does the Bentley or elsawin have this kind of information. It says on Ross-Tech that it's in the Workshop Manual??
The reason I ask is that I would like to increase my Idle speed to stop it from vibrating the car, and also I need to run Basic settings on my drivers side electric window module, but I can't get access to do this either.
The cable is genuine, but second hand.
Can anyone help? or point me in the right direction?
My car is an Audi 2007 (57) A3 2.0tfsi (BWA Engine)

This is as an alternative to the SKC code as in the Immobilizer Code?
If you have the original key fob (normally plastic with a colour tag) its on there...
If not your going to need a Auto Locksmith or good copy of VAG Commander to pull the code.

Thanks for the reply.
What I think you are referring to it the security code for the key fob. What I'm actually trying to find out is the security code to give me access to the ECU. I do have a key fob with a code, but I don't think it's the one I'm after mate.
