Hi all just sorted one problem and immediately discovered another, every time I hit a large bump in the road I'm hearing a metal on metal banging together noise from the front right, just wondered if anyone had any ideas what to look for, thanks

worn front arb bushes, allows the arb to contact the subframe and sounds really bad
I tried all the pushing and pulling and levering to try to replicate the noise when up on stands, just couldn't do it

what I did in the end was to disconnect one of the drop links from the bottom arm and go for a (slow) drive round the block, no noise, which confirmed it was arb/drop links

changed arb bushes and drop links, now nice and quiet

Excellent cheers mate, the drop links have recently been changed so will try the arb bushes, is it worth getting poly bushes?

Checking in to hear the answer about polybushing these. I was tempted before but didn't bother.

Not really necessary on a road car, rubber is more comfortable on our crappy pot holed roads.
