Ok so me and the Mrs went to flamingo land a couple of weeks back about an hour and a half away.

On the way back I noticed a whining noise that went down in pitch when slowing down, un-noticeable once I hit 20 ish or slower, I knew I needed a wheel bearing front driver side, got that done, problem still there!!!

Few things to note
If I push the clutch down its almost un-noticeable.
If I speed up and leave the car in a lower gear than it should really be for the speed I can hear the noise a bit louder.
Apart from all this, I haven't noticed the clutch slip, drives fine etc.

Losing the will to live with the car!

Know if it's a pisstake to change?

Just as an update, you can hear it faintly when speeding up too.

Not sure if that changes anything but thought I'd add it!

Yeah every gear mate, it's not the normal gearbox whine like when you slow down though, it's a lot thinner if that makes sense haha

Ok had some developments!
Pedal down clutch started chirping then squealing so I think it may be the release bearing!

So that leads me on to my next question, anyone got recommendations for what clutch to get?
Saw a couple of brands like Sachs and LUK, but there's almost £20-30 difference between each one any suggestions guys?
