That is correct, my mate Dave Henderson has the Sachs clutch on his Mrc tuned s3 it's running 538hp and is holding just fine.Sachs Performance Clutch 4 Paddle Sintered. Check out VRS Northampton web site they have them that's what I'm going for.
I'm going Revo stage 2 soon and waiting to seen how the clutch handles. There's someone with this clutch and running a TTE525 with 550bhp and he says it's fine. It uses the OEM dualmass flywheel so gets my thumbs up.

S tronic guys/ you need a tcu remap to increase the clutch clamping force to stop clutch slip, I've had this done and it stopped the slip in 5th gear on my car, currently 401hp and is great, Apr did the tcu map for me
Ecotune sell updated Sachs clutches for golf r/ s3 they only have 2 on the website but I phoned and they now do a 6 paddle clutch which should be easier to drive as a daily but can handle between 460 and 470 lb/ft of torque which is plenty! I have just ordered this!! Il let you know how it is when it's fitted!
Also I was speaking to Dave Henderson and he is running a 4 paddle clutch but is slightly brutal for daily use and you will have a left calf muscle that you could kick down walls with! For that reason I admire Dave
Where are you located Alli??Bit of a trek for me then, my current clutch would probably be wrecked by the time I got there lol.
Anyone semi local who'd be willing to let me feel the weight of one of these Sachs doodahs?
Not well Mike, it slips under heavy load about 50% of the time. I've had a fair few launch comparisons and roll on sessions with my brothers (new Focus RS & Stage 3 ST) and a mate with a remapped 135i and I'm still able to pull away whilst managing the slip, but its no fun. Day to day its fine though.
I guess the paddle is my only option as I seem to be at an awkward power level!!
Does anyone have any experience of the paddle? Can I use dual mass fly? Or is single mass fly the only option? Is the single mass noticibly louder than OEM? I dont mind the leg work out with the clutch but if the fly is rattly/noisy I'd rather avoid it.
Thanks,
