Has anyone got any ideas how I can get my chrome tail pipes back to original condition? At present they are black with exhaust emissions and I want to clean them without damaging the original chrome finish.

I use Autosol, works well

Another for Autosol here,I use a paper towel to apply and polish so I don't ruin a towel in the process

Ive actually just found a tube of Autosol in my Detailing box, many years old and never been used. How long should I keep it on pipes before taking off?

Please excuse that last daft question, just went out and tried it lol. To say I'm embarrassed with their condition is an understatement. They look like they have never been done. Look a bit better now but not totally cleaned. I seem to have completely run out of elbow grease after all the washing, drying, clay bar and polish I've been doing all morning. Just waiting for sun to go down later to finish off with a coat of wax.
