S3 Central locking problem!

Hi everyone,
Got a 58 plate S3 and the central locking has just started playing up.
First of all i stopped to put fuel in and the filler cap wouldn't unlock, then i came home to see if i could sort it and the key fobs aren't even locking/unlocking it half the time.
Anyone know if this is a common fault????

Its common its the fuel cap solenoid. My car has the same issue but mine is stuck open so never locks. Thers a manual release in the boot to open
