Hi!

Can anyone tell me where I can buy RS6 alloys either in grey or in bright metal (not sure what the colors are actually called)? I see @Louay and @Battlekrapz both have, so if they are still active here then maybe they can tell me? :) Since it have to be replica (original RS6 don't fit) I want to be sure that they are of good quality :)

Also if anyone have pictures of Daytonagrey A3/S3 with RS6 alloys it would be nice to see, because I'm not sure which color i should choose yet :)

I've understood that 19x8.5 are the size which fits best to A3 (e-tron)?

Best regards,
Norwegian guy

Fit some thin wheels with low energy tyres................

What do you define as thin wheels, and also as "low energy"? :)

See attached picture of an S3 with the rims I want. Found the picture in a forum somewhere, but I've forgotten where. The depicted color is also the same as I have (Daytona grey). Anyone knows where to buy them, or maybe someone recognizes the location of the picture and know who the owner is? :)

225/35/R19 low profile tyres.

They are from a very well known European French company called ldprestige.com

I dealt with a guy called nicolas@ldprestige.com just mention my name and i'm sure he would be happy to assist.

any questions feel free to ask.

Louay

Thanks Louay!!! Been on vacation so couldn't reply sooner. Hyper polished silver it will be then, the rims look stunning!! These are 8, 8.5 or 9? (I'm not sure what it's called in english, but i'm talking about how wide out in the road the rims will be). :)

How do u find the ride on the 19's?
Did u just stick the wheels straight on or have you lowered the car etc?
Looks really smart on the Eatoril blue (the only S3 colour to have lol)

I bought the same wheels for the TT in anthracite and silver
19" x 8.5j with 245/35/19 tyres

Your question regarding
"how wide out in the road the rims will be"
That will be determined by the offset you choose ( the ET number )
The A3 with 18" alloys is 8j and a ET54 standard as far as I'm aware

Thanks Don! :)

1wheelonly: The wheels in anthracite and silver are gorgous, actually the ones I saw on a RS6 once when I first got in love with them. Suits your TT perfectly. After thinking about it I think that this colour maybe suites my Daytona grey better, although both would be great.

Are all these RS6-replicas only with 8.5j? Because the 18" I have on my A3 E-tron now is 7.5j, and I only have about 1.25 cm (0.5 inch) from wheel and out to the wheel arch (seen from above, front wheels), meaning that increasing from 7.5j to 8.5j aka 2.5 cm (1 inch) will make the wheel come outside of the wheel arch (which is illegal and the wheel arch will get easier damaged I assume ...). :help:

Thanks mate, I think they suit the TT well

Going from 7.5j to 8.5j can be adjusted by going for a different offset mate

To have a 7.5j that sit flush with the arch, the offset must be huge

Do you know the exact wheel and tyre size you have ?

Your Wheel width obviously is 7.5j and there 18"
But what offset are they ? ( ET )
And what size tyres do you have ?

Aha, I see. :) Well I tried to find the offset number on the world wide web, but nothing. Went to the garage and checked, but no ET number on the wheels either. But tyre size is 225/40 R18, so either ET54 or ET56 on the normal A3 atleast (don't know if the E-tron differs).

If they are genuine alloys they will Deffo have a ET number on them

And if you have 225 /40 / 18
Are you sure your wheels aren't 8j ??

18" should be 8j x 18" ET54

These are genuine alloys yes. Where on the alloys do the number usually stand? Well, I'm not sure they are 7.5j, but according to the Audi car build configurator (www.audi.com, choosing A3 e-tron), they are. And according to the registration certificate under allowed alloys 7.5j are the only "allowed" for 18". Hmmm.

Ahh, didn't see your post, thanks. How do I adjust the offset then? Since the 8.5j rims will be 0.5 inch (12 mm) too wide, then I will need ET = 51-12 = ET39? And this is adjusted directly by the alloys or through spacers/something? Haha, sorry for my noobishness.

I have had LOTS of sets of alloys for all my cars from my local company, including my RS6 reps on my TT

http://www.fowkesauto.com/

give them a call and ask for Jeff
( the owner ) tell him what you have and what you want and he will advise you exactly what you can have mate

Awesome calculater, just what I needed! :) Thanks alot for the help, would've been lost without it, hah. Will drop Jeff an e-mail/call when I've looked through the alloys they have :)

Sweet!! :) Thanks alot for your help mate!

A3 can take 19 x 8.5J ET 48 no problem with no poke. You're best using 225/35's for the correct speedo reading. I have some BBS in this spec :)

1wheelonly: Will do :)

naughts4187: According to the calculator given above, this will make the wheels poke out 16 mm more than before (0.63 inch). I think that will be very close, but it might work :) Have you posted pics anywhere? And also 225 width on 8.5j will make the alloys stick longer out than the tyre I guess? Also, since the normal A3 have 8j standard (?) and A3 E-tron have 7.5j, I guess there are small differences even if you put the same wheels on both cars?

Evening @2bb1, not the RS6 reps, but here's a couple of shots of 8.5 x 19, ET +48, with 235/35s, lowered. No rubbing, no poke, and no problems.
