Steering wheel removal S3 8p

I want to get my steering wheel retrimed does anyone know of a guide or how easy it is to remove

Turn the wheel 90 degrees and pop of the covers on the back, undo the screw, rotate 90 the other way do the same but hold the air bag to the wheel.
Remove the battery terminal wait 15 mins ( to be safe)
pull air bag towards you unclip it, place it safe on passenger seat.
Undo nut holding wheel to column.

One thing to mention is that is a M12 spline holding the wheel to the column

....and line up the dots on the end of the column and the wheel boss so it goes back on straight.

not always the scenario, mark your own points on the wheel and column.

the position of the wheel itself will be made by the position of the slip ring when you take the wheel off so try not to move it if you don't make marks.
