A6 Avant vs A6 All Road

I'm in the market for the A6 bitdi. And the closest models with that engine is the all road. But do I really want a car that's had its suspension raised?
What do you suggest?
Please discuss the differences, pros and cons of each..
I'm heading out to view an all road in the next couple hours, why would you buy an all road over the avant and vice versa?

Personally the only reason would be if you needed the extra ride height, for me it had to be the S Line BiTDI but would have gone with a black edition as well. The one ive just got is on 20`s as well but if anything its smoother than my 2002 S3 running on 19`s.

For me it was the extras it came with but I just missed out on privacy glass.

Well I've just test drove a 2012 all road with air suspension. It rides fantastic. And had some extras. But no sun roof!

I've got an A6 saloon but have just bought a German Shepherd, so need an Avant or Allroad for some dog space.

I wouldn't let the lack of sunroof put you off. If I was interested in an avant, the all road would be my choice. I like the look of the front and the ability to change ride height is an advantage.

Going to look at another this week. I don't mind either now, just need to find one for my budget and within reasonable distance!
