Hi all, I'm looking for a S3 Sportback in either blue or white, currently own a leon fr btcc with stage 2 shark remap plus dpf delete, full R32 break setup. Just wanting to know what sort of spec the s3 came with. I've had a search through the site but can't find a spec/options list.

Looking to spend 16k-18k and ideally I'd like DSG, Sat nav, pan roof, bose sound system, DAB, mileage under 50k, eventually I'd go stage 2+, but would do revo intake and stage 1 map straight away.

Current car

You should be able to get the car and spec that you want, but it will be at the upper end of your budget.

Thanks for the reply, what sort of options were offered on the s3, is cruise control standard? And are there different types of sat nav?

I honestly can't tell you what is standard and what wasn't. I can tell you what is common on the ones I've seen for sale/driven/sat in.

1. Cruise control
2. Sat nav (only one type - the RNS-E)
3. heated seats (some half and some full leather)
4. Auto lights and wipers
5. electrically folding door mirrors (deffo not standard)
6. Bluetooth for phone
7. AMI in the glove box which allows USB/ipod connectivity
8. Ambient light pack

I think that's the main things...

Ok cheers, I'll do something me more research, defo want folding mirrors as they've been handy on the leon

Wow great cheers, so a lot of options then

Is there any way to tell what extras a car has by putting a reg number in anywhere? Like Audi uk, seen a few cars online but don't want to trek a few hundred miles for someone to tell me it's got this and that on when it hasn't .

As others have said there is a sticker in the boot and also usually one in the service book. This has the 17 digit VIN at the top. Sadly Audi VIN decoder doesn't break down the options (or non options) on the car but, this can still be handy if you want to check engine codes etc
http://www.vindecoderz.com/
However, at the lower section of this sticker you'll find all 'options' plus the original equipment that were on the car when it was built in the form of lots of 3 digit codes. It also lists bits that are not on your car such as 3FA=Without roof insert (standard roof)

Best and only way to find out what extras the car had from factory with just the reg number is.

Visit 24/7 spares.com on a laptop/pc type in the car reg. once it's found right click and click on view source.
Then when the box opens up click ctrl+F and type VIN it will then bring up the cars vin number after 2nd search.

Then log onto my audi and put the VIN number in and it will then bring up every option the car has from factory.

This is how I always do it when looking at buying cars lol

Cheers guys that's great, gives me something to work on
