Air con knobs upgrade mood

Does anyone has upgrade the plastic knobs inserts for aluminium ones?? does anyone has the part number for only the aluminium inserts? Will be a really nice detail on the very boring knobs

Or if not does anyone has tried to install those ones round knobs type? how easy is to take the knobs out to install the round type ones is it possible? (as it seems only the plastic insert comes off).

I thought the chrome surrounds were only on Climate Control Units. As they are two different units I'm not sure they can be swopped out. See this thread on how to remove knobs/surrounds.

Another reason you might not have had any responses is that you should always let other know what car you have, model year and as much detail as possible. Sadly your post includes none of that nor what unit you currently have in your car.

My car is a Audi A3 2.0 Tdi facelift model 2009 59 plate. I know they were only on the climate control units but the inserts of the actual knobs i have they are comming off so i though probably they could be replaced with a chrome ones.

My idea was to replace the entire knob with the round aluminium ones i showed on the picture at the original post... Only need to find out how to take off my original knobs.. as they seem they dont come off easily..
