Hey guys,
So the past few months I have been chasing an oil pressure fault on my 1.8t A3. I have tried all the usual issues but had no luck. Recently I discovered an ever worsening oil leak on the back of the engine block. Sadly with only my drive I cant get the car up or apart enough to investigate and wondered if anyone has come across a similar problem. Could this leak cause my pressure fault? Many thanks.

Here is some pics of the area i could get too..

Down here seems to be the origin of the leak. Ends up going down the block all the way to intercooler pipe and then to sump.

Here is a down the back view. I can get more pics if needed...

Any ideas anyone?

What year is your a3?

its a 99 1.8t quattro

Put phone more back and take a picture of your block from back side.

Will do that tomorrow

I tried to get some better pics of the area but its pretty tight down there with all the turbo pipes.

These were some of the best I could get without stripping the car down. Is there anything in the rear corner of the block that could be causing this? could it be causing my pressure fault? Soon after i got my car i replaced the rocker cover gasket as that was leaking and I checked around the edge of that today and it was all fine still.
Thanks for the help
