hi guys, just after some advise really, bought some winter wheels the size are 16" 6j 5x112 et 50, they had brand new continental winter tyres on and I won them cheap, the issue I have is (apart from them looking s&@te on the car ha) they go into the arch quite abit, they clear the calliper just, but is it safe to drive like that? It's just my wife drives it the most with the kids in the car and I just want to make sure it's safe to drive it like that?
They'll be fine... But you have lost a bit of ride height as they're a smaller overall diameter. A better tyre size match would have been 215/55/16 instead of the 205s. But as long as you're not fouling the brakes or suspension on the inside and you can get full lock, you'll be ok!
Thanks for the reply Stu, I will put them on this week, didn't want to chance it with having the family in it so only tested that one, and drove it round the block with no issues, but just wanted to be on the safe side.
