Fitting new steering wheel - bolts do not reach airbag.

Hi guys,

mate of mines having an issue, wants to fit a multi function steering wheel to his 05/55 audi a3 8p. its the newer facelift chunkier airbag and wheel, but not the flat bottom.

He's brought a multi function steering wheel, with dsg pedals, the wheel will go on fine, but the airbag screws will not fit, its like the angle is completely off, even purchased another air bag and nothing.

Any ideas to why this is happening?

Need to check its the correct airbag for the wheel, pics of new wheel & airbag would help with also showing underside of airbag & inside of the wheel.
