Nearside Knocking Noise

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with an annoying front nearside knocking noise. I have a 2.0TFSI Quattro which has an annoying knock when turning the wheel stationary or at very low speed. The knock can be felt through the nearside top suspension strutt so I thought it would be the top mount which was causing the issue so decided to replace. Unfortunately replacing the top mount didn't solve the issue. If anyone has an idea what the problem could be or has had a similar issue if you could point me in the right direction this would be very much appreciated.

get your steering rack checked by a vag expert. I had to replace mine after checking everything else for knocking! mine was at it's worst when driving over very bumpy ground such as cobbled streets at low speed.

before checking that i'd had the guys who did my service plus the MOT place both check all suspension bits & bearings
