I believe the consensous is that its a A3 saloon from the lines along the side and the shorter rear overhang..A white Sline 66 plate was involved in today's shooting near Huddersfield
Whatever tyres you have, if you're not skilled or confident enough to drive in snow, just don't do it. Personally I have never found it an issue even when I lived on the peninnes..
Yep, regularly I used to drive snake pass, until they'd shut it. Faced much the same conditions there and a place above penistone called high flats. Had a hire car which I had to ram into snow drifts that were going across the road..Couldn't agree more, the older I get the more I seem to see people who just blatantly don't drive according to the conditions, or are not up to the task of that, without tarnishing anyone but often in large 4x4 SUV, who seem to think they are impervious to the conditions.
Years ago I got caught in a blizzard across the moors en route to Whitby / Scarborough, on the A171, in my much loved mk1 Golf GTi, was one of the few times I've been genuinely concerned by the weather conditions - was so bad visibility was literally 5 metres and I had to turn off my headlights as it was impossible to see due to being dazzled by the falling snow - but I managed to drive on and came out the other side without putting the car into a ditch.

When I saw this (identical to mine) I had to check the driveway. Yep - still there. Phew!Seems the weather has claimed a B9 saloon in Scotland (not spotted by myself but lifted from a certain "news" website).
