Locking Problem

Hi Chaps

Im currently locked out of my car.... pre face lift S3 8L, the fob doesnt work and neither does the key in any lock

Any suggestions?

Wrong key?... wrong car? (it happens lol)

So that I understand... the key won't physically unlock the drivers door or the boot? the key lock is mechanical so should always unlock the door... assuming its the right key... or the right car

exactly it doesnt do anything, im at home so defo my car

the alarm went off after i had got out of the car and locked it up, tried unlocking it to stop the alarm but nothing works.

The alarm has now stopped, no flashing diode on the door for central locking but still nothing from the fob or manual turn from the key on the boot or door.

Ah to disable the alarm you mean?

You may need to try re-syncing the key..

well i got into the car, and the alarm had drained the battery, but still dont know why the alarm would of gone off

Guess i have a possible electrical fault causing the alarm to trip, my clocks and radio do reset occasionly also if thats any clue to finding the issue

Scan for fault codes... alarm triggering will report as a fault

Other reasons for alarm going off is the siren unit itself being faulty...
