Scuttle Panel Torn?

Hi all, just a quick one, received a new scuttle panel for 2001 S3 today, after close inspection it looks like the panel is torn at the location near the vin window (see photos)...is this normal? The rubber certainly doesn't look like its meant to be torn there

mines torn there too; no problems with it. But mine isn't new

Yeh I think that's normal. How much were you for the new panel out of interest? Did you go to the main dealer to get it? Cheers!

Ah okay, thanks guys was just a bit concerned as it just looks like a tear Was around £50 including shipping, got it from the forum parts request
