Warning lights coming on help!

Hi everyone,
Have just had 2 warning lights come one at the same time quite randomly. The ABS and the esp(circle arrow with a triangle and exclamation mark inside)lights.
They have came on together before when I've revved a bit too hard (due to still getting used to a diesel) but they just came on without me doing anything like that.
Has anyone else come across this before and discovered what it was?

Check to see if your brake lights are working properly. If they aren't then the brake pedal switch has failed.
If all seems normal then you'll have to get it read for fault codes.

Yeah checked the lights just the other day and all are fine. Will do, Have seen a few other threads with maybe sensors etc so will do.

Was it after a cold start If so maybe battery on way out.

There is a sequence of lights that will show battery has gone below critical voltage but can't for the life of me remember which two it is.
