Box or remap

Hi all I have a 3.0tdi. 57 plate The question is tunning box or a remap .seen a tunning box from prodieselchip for£125 approx any advise would be welcome thanks kev

Mines mapped to @ 300bhp and the driveability is superb.

Never tried a box but logic says it can't give the results that a map that reads the engine could give.

My map cost £300 but was from a mate.

Depends how much extra you want out of the car. A box will give you more go but never the same as a remap. If your car has a DPF then a map is a better way to go as boost is usually increased to match the extra fuel. Where as a £125 tuning box will just provide extra fuel.
So make life difficult for the DPF.
If you are anywhere near Manchester Rick at Unicorn Motor Developments mapped mine and he does a really good job.
