Coilovers

Bought a set of jom coilovers, claiming to lower it 75mm. A friend of mine has the exact same coilovers on an a3, which made me purchase mine. He has no finger space between his alloy and arch on the front with 16 threads left and mine sits like this with no bump stops and wound all the way down. Why? Is there any reason?

You cant see very well in the image put i have a gap?
